Our mission

I am a Christian mother and wife, living and raising our children in a suburb of Austin, Texas.

I knew from a very young age that the work with children is my passion. In 2006 I started my first job as a church group leader for children aged 4 to 10. I loved it so much that I not only kept working with children but also earned a Bachelor's and Master of Education with a huge focus on child psychology. I worked in many daycare facilities, nanny , and teaching positions. I started my first teaching position in 2012 and haven't stopped teaching since. I completed training in child development, signs, and prevention of child abuse, different education styles like Waldorf and Montessori, child safety, and special needs. 

Starting First Choice Nannies has been a dream for many years and I truly feel that God has called me to work with families, to help them find the best care possible.

My name is Kristi and I grew up in South Louisiana, but Texas has been my home base for more than 30 years, 11 of which have been in Austin.

As a Christian, I have worked each job set before me with the hope of my efforts being pleasing to God. Over the course of my 30 years in the workforce, I have worked to earn management positions in many types of business, including retail, nutrition/health food, consumer banking, retirement investment education, corporate insurance, and state tax filings. I am currently a stay-at-home Mom and my passions include gardening, butterflies, cats, bread baking, and houseplants. 

I find joy and fulfillment in assisting the growth and health of all. I very much look forward to connecting families and churches with quality services and people.
